The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (BSP) Enhanced Report on Philippine Financial System 20181 presents that the Philippines’ financial system sustained its growth from the previous year. The BSP is also projecting an inflation rate of 2-4% this 2019, from last year’s 5.2%.
The BSP is mandated to promote monetary stability as well as strengthen the country’s financial system, for a balanced and sustainable economic growth. It is in this light that we recognize the crucial role of the country’s central bank in helping create an investment-friendly and competitive business environment through easing transactions and combating financial crimes, among others.
